Independent Lens: Between the Folds (2010)

I recently watched the PBS documentary on origami and was amazed at how eye-opening it was.

The film, Between the Folds, features interviews with 10 different individuals who have dedicated their lives to the art and science of origami.

Here is the preview to the documentary:

The things that I loved the most when watching this documentary were:

– The idea that when you put a crease in a sheet of paper, you change the memory of it. It’ll never be the same again.

– Seeing the fine line between art and science and origami’s many practical real-life applications (e.g. folding of air bags)

– Experiencing the infinite possibilities of one sheet of paper through the creations of the artists in the video

– The passion and dedication of all the artists interviewed

If you haven’t seen this yet, I’ll encourage everyone to watch it. You’ll never see a sheet of paper the same again!
